About the Foundation
The constitutional layer of the Aeltrix protocol
The Aeltrix Foundation is the governance body responsible for long-term protocol integrity. It does not build products, operate validators, or pursue commercial objectives. It exists to enforce the principles that make deterministic infrastructure trustworthy.
Foundation mandate
The Foundation's mandate is singular: preserve the deterministic execution guarantees of the Aeltrix protocol across all upgrades, validator set changes, and economic parameter adjustments. Every Foundation action is evaluated against this mandate. Actions that compromise determinism are constitutionally prohibited.
Scope of authority
What the Foundation does
Protocol governance
The Foundation administers the governance process for protocol upgrades. This includes proposal intake, formal review, validator voting coordination, and activation scheduling. The Foundation does not vote on proposals — it facilitates the process.
Constitutional enforcement
The Foundation monitors protocol behavior against constitutional principles. If a validator, upgrade, or parameter change violates a founding principle, the Foundation is authorized to initiate a formal review and, if necessary, a rollback proposal.
Treasury stewardship
The Foundation manages the protocol treasury. Allocations are disclosed quarterly. No discretionary spending is permitted without governance approval. Treasury funds are held in cold storage with multi-signature access controls.
